I found it in some obscure Reddit thread (buried once 7 comments deep under an ad for crypto). Its not upon the App Store, but their site walks you through a workaround. Sketchy? A little. But it works.
Pros:

No watermarks.

Saves in HD. Legit 1080p+.

Audio stays in sync (youd be surprised how rare that is).

Cons:

Annoying setup.

Sometimes fails silently, similar to it acts in the same way as it saved but nada.

Interface looks with Windows XP met a MySpace theme.

Still… its my go-to. I even have a shortcut widget.

Why doesnt Instagram just allow us attain this? I mean, TikTok lets you keep later audio (sorta), but IG acts in the manner of Reels are nuclear opening codes. Wild.

But here’s the thingI cant support if its real. I downloaded the APK, ran it on a burner phone (dont believe to be me), and it kinda worked? Downloads were clean. But my antivirus app threw a tantrum.
If youre adventurous (and paranoid), attempt it. Just dont blame me if your phone starts ordering pizza upon its own.

Real Talk: Should You Even Be measure This?
Ugh. Im torn. on one hand, I get it. We want to save that reel. sham it to friends. Watch offline. maybe meme it later.
But creators deserve credit. for that reason here’s my rule: I abandoned download Reels if Im using them personally. Never reposting. Never monetizing. Just hoarding, tbh.
